Volleyball Recap: Hudson's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Hudson dropped their record down to 10-6 on Saturday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Lakota East Thunderhawks, falling 3-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Explorers were not able to get on the board.

Fisher Zappone paced Hudson's offense, picking up seven kills. Zappone got some help from Jackson Battaglia and his 16 assists.

As for Lakota East, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. The victory was nothing new for Lakota East as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Leading Lakota East to victory were Carson Berling and Will Huelskamp. Berling had 11 digs and three aces, while Huelskamp had 13 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Huelskamp has posted since back in March.

Hudson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Mt. Vernon on the 26th. As for Lakota East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Olentangy on the 26th.
