Baseball Recap: Oak Ridge Takes a Loss

Oak Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 17-7 to the Colonial Grenadiers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grenadiers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-4 back in February.

Aaron Valle was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Max Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Oak Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Colonial, they pushed their record up to 5-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Oak Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-6 defeat against Wekiva on the 12th. As for Colonial, they have also already played their next matchup, a 7-2 loss against Ocoee on the 11th.
