Softball Recap: Grace Davis Spartans vs. Johansen Vikings

Grace Davis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell just short of the Johansen Vikings by a score of 13-12. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (ten), Grace Davis still had to take the loss.

Lilliana Alcantar was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. Alcantar has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Alcantar was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and a double.

In other batting news, Havana Hulsebosch led a balanced group of hitters, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Avianna Alvarado, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4.
