Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Unity Christian Academy lost against Terra Ceia Christian back in November of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Unity Christian Academy Warriors were beaten by the Terra Ceia Christian Knights 60-18. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-2.

Jake Whitehurst was Unity Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Shane Fisher held things down on the boards with four rebounds. Mason Paul took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Ryan Ange was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 19 boards for Terra Ceia Christian. What's more, Ange also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Dustin Carrow, who posted eight points.

Unity Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Terra Ceia Christian, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Terra Ceia Christian beat Unity Christian Academy by a score of 79-31 on Tuesday.
