Soccer Game Preview: LaBelle vs. Clewiston

The LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls will face off against the Clewiston Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

LaBelle is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Palmetto Ridge. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Cowboys/Cowgirls haven't been shut out since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, Clewiston fell victim to Lely and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 543rd, while the Trojans are ranked 123rd).

LaBelle's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Clewiston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6-1.

Everything went LaBelle's way against Clewiston in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as LaBelle made off with a 9-1 victory. Does LaBelle have another victory up their sleeve, or will Clewiston turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
