Byron Nelson entered their tilt with Trinity on Tuesday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Trinity Trojans 44-41. Given the Bobcat's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Trojans are ranked 523rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Byron Nelson is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.1 points per game. As for Trinity, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-15.
