Baseball Recap: Marquette Catholic Wins Going Away Against Gibault Catholic

Marquette Catholic not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 3, 2024. They put the hurt on the Gibault Catholic Hawks with a sharp 9-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Explorers in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won three in a row.

Joe Stephan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
