Shady Spring dropped their record down to 11-9 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-1), but sadly  the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  back in March.
 Shady Spring saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Raegan Lane, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
As for Hoover, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won 15 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games.
 On Hoover's side,  Hannah Shamblin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. Shamblin has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 21 consecutive appearances.
 Shady Spring does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hoover, they will take on Ripley at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
