Softball Recap: Fort Mill Comes Up Short

Fort Mill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clover Blue Eagles. The Yellow Jackets were not able to make up for their loss to the Blue Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Fort Mill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Rosario, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Fort Mill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Clover, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Mill will take on Catawba Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Copperheads will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something the Yellow Jackets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clover, they will square off against Non Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
