Volleyball Recap: The Colony Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The Colony was the 3-0 winner over Lake Dallas when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, The Colony sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-23, 21-25, 25-21, 22-25, 15-12.

Turner Gonzalez paced The Colony's offense, picking up ten kills. Gonzalez got some help from Teagan Hubbard and her 28 assists. Hubbard was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

The Colony now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Lake Dallas, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, The Colony will challenge Memorial at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Lake Dallas, they will face off against South Garland at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
