Softball Recap: Foothill Takes a Loss

Foothill fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against California on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 11-10. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Grizzlies recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Foothill got a massive performance out of Kaycie Burdick, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Brea Olsen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8-1. As for California, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Foothill nor California have any future games scheduled.
