Basketball Game Preview: Walsh Eagles vs. Wiley Panthers

Walsh hasn't had much luck against Wiley recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Walsh Eagles will jump right back in to play the Wiley Panthers at 9:00 a.m. Neither Walsh nor Wiley posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Walsh saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 32-21 to Holly. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The losing side was boosted by Averi Kunselman, who posted three points along with 11 boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Meanwhile, Wiley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by McClave and fell 60-18.

Wiley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Walsh, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Walsh might still be hurting after the 33-7 loss they got from Wiley in their previous meeting back in January. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Walsh was down 27-0.
