Basketball Recap: New Canaan Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

After losing to St. Joseph the last time they met, New Canaan decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The New Canaan Rams walked away with a 58-49 victory over the St. Joseph Cadets on Monday.

St. Joseph's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Febus, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jules Jacques, who earned six points and six rebounds.

New Canaan's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points over those games. As for St. Joseph, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Looking ahead, New Canaan will welcome Trumbull at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Joseph, they will head out to square off against Staples at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.1 points per game this season.
