Baseball Game Preview: Eastside Rams vs. Palatka Panthers

Eastside hasn't had much luck against Palatka recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Eastside will face off against Palatka at 6:00 p.m. Eastside has given up an average of 14.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Eastside is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They came up short against Interlachen, falling 11-3. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 28, 2017, but that streak is no more.

Eastside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wrex Louidor, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Louidor's first of the season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Palatka's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Father Lopez by a score of 3-2.

Palatka now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Eastside, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.

Eastside couldn't quite get it done against Palatka in their previous meeting back in May of 2023 as they fell 8-4. Can Eastside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
