Basketball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale suffered their biggest defeat since December 10, 2024 on Wednesday. They came up short against the East Jefferson Warriors, falling 72-50. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Riverdale has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for East Jefferson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-16.

Riverdale has already played their next contest (against L.W. Higgins), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. East Jefferson has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Collegiate.
