McClain entered their tilt with Hillsboro on Saturday with 17 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 18. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 39-37 victory over the Hillsboro Indians. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since December 21, 2024.

Hillsboro's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Jordan, who posted nine points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Tylee Davis, who scored five points along with five rebounds and three steals.

McClain pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hillsboro, with the loss, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-3.
