Downey hadn't done well against Pacifica recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Downey Vikings came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pacifica Mariners, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted since February 13, 2024.

Ozzy De La Cruz looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nathan Carrasco, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. Caleb Monroe was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
