Baseball Recap: Heide Trask Takes a Loss

Heide Trask was the 12-2 winner over Wallace-Rose Hill when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Heide Trask Titans fell just short of the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs by a score of 13-12 on Friday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trey Cheatham made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Alex Monroe was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Heide Trask's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heide Trask will face off against Northside - Jacksonville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they will square off against Hobbton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
