Volleyball Recap: JW North Huskies vs. Rancho Verde Mustangs

JW North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Rancho Verde Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 3rd.

While JW North was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Rancho Verde's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17, 25-21.

Thomas Mansaray paced JW North's offense, picking up eight kills. Mansaray got some help from Henry Quinteros and his 21 assists. Quinteros also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Hayden Gabriel Ramos, racking up two apiece.

JW North's defeat dropped their record down to 6-23. As for Rancho Verde, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-13 record this season.
