Recap: Reagan Rattlers vs. Johnson Jaguars

The Reagan Rattlers struggled with offensive rebounds on Friday (the Johnson Jaguars had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. The game between Reagan and Johnson wasn't particularly close, with Reagan falling 54-40. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Reagan in their matchups with Johnson: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the defeat, Reagan had strong showings from Sahara Green, who scored 11 points, and Renata Parga, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. Parga hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Joana Lopez, who scored nine points along with two steals.

Johnson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taryn Johnson led the charge by scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds. Ava Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Reagan's loss dropped their record down to 19-16. As for Johnson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 18-16 record this season.

Reagan will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Churchill at 7:30 p.m. Churchill will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Reagan surely won't give up without a fight. As for Johnson, they will head out on the road to face off against Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Johnson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
