Greenbrier had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Evans Knights. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 12-3 win on Wednesday.

Avery Bankston made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last ten contests.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Josie McQuillan, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sophia Griffin, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Greenbrier kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Evans only managed six hits.

Greenbrier's record now sits at 13-4. As for Evans, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenbrier will head out to challenge Grovetown at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Wolfpack's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Evans, they will venture away from home to take on Lakeside at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
