Volleyball Recap: Boulder Creek Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Boulder Creek faced off against Liberty on Tuesday. The Jaguars came up short against the Lions, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-19, 25-17.

Laci Noice paced Boulder Creek's offense, picking up nine kills. Noice got some help from Layla Bruhn and her ten assists. Bruhn also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Adilyn Mittendorf, racking up two apiece.

The loss snapped Boulder Creek's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-10 record. As for Liberty, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boulder Creek will square off against Pinnacle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Liberty, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against O'Connor at 6:00 p.m. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
