Baseball Recap: Thief River Falls Takes a Loss

Thief River Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Grand Forks Green Wave. The matchup marked the Prowlers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Thief River Falls got a good showing from Logan Kriel, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits.

At the plate, Thief River Falls saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jameson Hurst, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Wade Nelson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Thief River Falls' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for East Grand Forks, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Coincidentally, Thief River Falls and East Grand Forks will both be playing Champlin Park the next time they take the field. The Prowlers will host the Rebels at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Green Wave will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th.
