Softball Recap: Dyer County Choctaws vs. Halls Tigers
Dyer County was handed a two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Halls on Monday. The Dyer County Choctaws were the clear victor by a 9-2 margin over the Halls Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Dyer County also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.
The team relied heavily on Kierstyn Ray, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Natalie Armstrong, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Dyer County's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Halls, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Dyer County will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against South Gibson at 5:00 p.m. South Gibson is coming into the match with five straight victories at home, so Dyer County will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Halls will take on Union City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
