Soccer Game Preview: DePaul College Prep vs. Bulls College Prep

The DePaul College Prep Rams will challenge the Bulls College Prep Bulls at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Bulls College Prep will be up against a hot DePaul College Prep team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Rams' defense stepped up to hand Nazareth Academy a 1-0 shutout on Wednesday. Give DePaul College Prep's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Lucia Trautman, who's now up to seven this season.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Bulls College Prep's offense. They came up short against Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South on Thursday, falling 5-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Bulls College Prep haven't been shut out since back in April.

DePaul College Prep's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matchups. As for Bulls College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

DePaul College Prep couldn't quite get it done against Bulls College Prep in their previous meeting back in April of 2015 as they fell 3-1. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
