Basketball Recap: Cumberland County Gets the Win

Cumberland County entered their tilt with Southwestern on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They escaped with a win against the Southwestern Warriors by the margin of a single free throw, 70-69.

Cumberland County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Southwestern, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cumberland County will host Barren County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Barren County will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Cumberland County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Southwestern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rockcastle County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
