            Volleyball Recap: Hallandale Chargers vs. Hollywood Hills Spartans        
        
		
        
        
            Hallandale took a three-set  loss the last time they faced off against Hollywood Hills, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hallandale Chargers skirted past the Hollywood Hills Spartans  3-2. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the   3-0 win the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2024.
 Hallandale was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-100), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 17-25, 17-25, 25-22, 25-18,  16-14.
 Defeat or not, Hollywood Hills got some senior leadership from  Julian Klavans and  Nestor Castano.  Klavans  had 11  digs, seven  aces,  and six  kills, while  Castano  had 14  digs. Klavans also set a new season-high mark in  assists with 21.

Hallandale's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Hollywood Hills, their loss was  their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-5.
 Looking ahead, Hallandale will challenge Coconut Creek at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Hallandale is facing Coconut Creek at the right time seeing as Coconut Creek is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. Hollywood Hills will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Deerfield Beach at 4:30  p.m.  on April 1st.
