Softball Recap: St. Marys Bears vs. Mission Valley Vikings

There's no place like home for St. Marys, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They had just enough and edged the Mission Valley Vikings out 7-6. That's more bragging rights for St. Marys, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

For Mission Valley's part, Maddie Kraus was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits. Kraus has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive pitching appearances.
