Recap: Fairland Dragons vs. Ironton Fighting Tigers
Make it 12 blowout wins for the Fairland Dragons this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Ironton 96-17 at home. Fairland's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Bree Allen, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten steals. She also posted eight assists for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Bailey Russell, who scored 22 points along with two steals.
Fairland pushed their record up to 15-1 with that win, which was their 16th straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42.63 points. As for Ironton, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Fairland will head out on the road to challenge South Point at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Point will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 256th, while Fairland is ranked tenth). As for Ironton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rock Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
