Volleyball Game Preview: Anchor Bay Tars vs. Port Huron Northern Huskies

The Anchor Bay Tars will face off against the Port Huron Northern Huskies at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

Anchor Bay managed to slip by Dakota the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tars lost 3-0 to the Cougars last Thursday. The Tars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Port Huron Northern hadn't done well against Croswell-Lexington recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Huskies walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Pioneers. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won three in a row.

Port Huron Northern easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16.

Port Huron Northern's victory bumped their record up to 31-9-1. As for Anchor Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 19-22-1.

Anchor Bay beat Port Huron Northern 2-0 when the teams last played back in August of 2017. Do the Tars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
