It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Foundation Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past The First Academy Royals 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their 11th in a row.

Foundation Academy took The First Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-17, 20-25, 25-18, 17-15.

Foundation Academy can attribute much of their success to Luna Dela Cruz, who had 18 digs. Another player making a difference was Lily Green, who had 11 digs.

Despite the defeat, The First Academy saw an underclassman step up: Selah Kohler had 34 digs. Those 34 digs set a new season-high mark for Kohler.

Foundation Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for The First Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Foundation Academy has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Trinity Catholic on the 17th. The First Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
