Recap: Frankton Eagles vs. Elwood Panthers

In what's become a running theme this season, the Frankton Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Elwood 61-19 at home. Winning may never get old, but Frankton sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Frankton had a senior duo take command as Amaya Collins scored 30 points along with five steals and Emma Sperry scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Collins has scored at least a third of Frankton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lamarrie'a Turner, who scored six points.

Frankton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Elwood, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.

Frankton will square off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Centerville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 390th, while the Eagles are ranked 127th). Elwood is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Eastbrook focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Friday.
