Baseball Recap: Snook Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Monday. Snook Christian Academy fell just short of Jackson Academy by a score of 14-13. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Jackson Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-5 last Saturday.

Ethan Bettner led a balanced group of hitters, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Snook Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Ethan Parker, who scored five runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

Bettner wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Snook Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Snook Christian Academy now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Jackson Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Snook Christian Academy beat Jackson Academy by a score of 7-0 on Tuesday.
