Softball Recap: London Comes Up Short

London came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-1 to the Northwestern Warriors. The Red Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Bella Peterman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

London has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-6 record this season. As for Northwestern, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

London will head out on the road to take on Bellefontaine at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chieftains have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Northwestern, they will welcome North Union at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
