1A 6 Man 1 Region I District 1 (6 Man) Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Rosales Made His Presence Known in Booker's 66-42 Win

Starting off the list is Booker's Adrian Rosales, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Rosales picked up 88 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

Rosales must have Claude's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Rosales rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry the last time he and the Mustangs duked it out back in August of 2023.

Chase Nelson's Big Game Leads Booker over Claude

Another Booker player making an appearance on this list is Chase Nelson. He threw for 218 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 78 yards on only seven carries.

This season, Nelson has thrown 24 touchdowns (and and only 4 picks) while averaging 216 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 69.19 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 121.93 passer rating.

While Claude might've come up empty on Friday, Trapper Godfrey wasn't going down without a fight. Godfrey was unstoppable, making three total tackles (1.0 for loss). He also rushed for 133 rushing yards, which is notable because Claude is 3-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

This is the second loss in a row for Claude and nudges their season record down to 4-3. Godfrey and Claude are taking a road trip to face off against Boys Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
