Basketball Recap: Mount Dora Has No Trouble Against East Ridge

Mount Dora won the last time they faced East Ridge, and things went their way on Monday too. Everything went the Mount Dora Hurricanes' way against the East Ridge Knights as the Mount Dora Hurricanes made off with a 77-57 win. The Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

East Ridge lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jordan Corman, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards. That's the most points Corman has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Kendrick, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Mount Dora and bumps their season record up to 3-5. As for East Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Freedom the next time they take the court. East Ridge will host Freedom at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Mount Dora will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
