Baseball Recap: Quabbin Regional Takes a Loss

If Quabbin Regional was riding high fresh off their 14-1 takedown of Quaboag Regional last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oakmont Regional Spartans on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 6-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Quabbin Regional saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alijah Flint, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Quabbin Regional now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Oakmont Regional, the win was the ninth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quabbin Regional will venture away from home to take on Gardner at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Oakmont Regional, they will take on St. Paul at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
