The Thief River Falls Prowlers will take on the Stephen-Argyle Central Storm at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
On Thursday, Thief River Falls made easy work of Crookston and carried off a 19-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Prowlers, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Dylan Osowski was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Thief River Falls got a big performance out of Kaleb Mehrkens, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two runs gave Mehrkens a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Hams, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Thief River Falls kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 11.2.
Meanwhile, Stephen-Argyle Central got themselves on the board against Badger/Greenbush-Middle River on Thursday, but Badger/Greenbush-Middle River never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Gators.
Thief River Falls is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Stephen-Argyle Central, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Thief River Falls took their win against Stephen-Argyle Central when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0 score. Will the Prowlers repeat their success, or do the Storm have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
