Volleyball Recap: Palmdale Academy Charter School Takes a Loss

Palmdale Academy Charter School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Desert Christian Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, 25-18.

Sadie Guardado was nothing short of spectacular for Desert Christian: she had six digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Guardado a new career-high. Danna Guardado also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Palmdale Academy Charter School's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Desert Christian, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Palmdale Academy Charter School is set to square off against their familiar foe Vasquez at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Desert Christian will take on rival Lancaster Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
