Platte County has gone  a perfect 5-0 against Ruskin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Thursday. The Pirates will challenge the Golden Eagles at 4:00  p.m. Platte County's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7  runs per game  this season, so Ruskin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Wednesday, Platte County got the win against Raytown  by a conclusive  17-2. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by nine  runs or more this season.

Ruskin got a  massive  performance out of  Tae Finley, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, four  runs,  and two  stolen bases. That's the most  hits  Finley has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of  Eli Pitts, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with four  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ruskin  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  hit total in three consecutive  contests.
 Platte County is  on a roll lately: they've  won 13 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. Ruskin's first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-28.
 Platte County took their  victory against Ruskin  in their previous matchup  back in April by a conclusive  14-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
