Basketball Recap: Brooks Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Brooks waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Christian Fenger Academy Titans by a score of 52-40.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brooks to victory, but perhaps none more so than Antwonette Golatte, who posted 21 points. That's the most points Golatte has posted since back in January of 2024. Siri Williams was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Brooks has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points per game. As for Christian Fenger Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Brooks is taking a road trip to face off against Chicago Vocational at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Brooks is facing Chicago Vocational at the right time seeing as Chicago Vocational is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Christian Fenger Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carver at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Christian Fenger Academy's favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Carver has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
