Softball Game Preview: Lincoln Cardinals vs. Pleasant Hope Pirates

The Lincoln Cardinals are taking a road trip to face off against the Pleasant Hope Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.

On Monday, Lincoln got the win against Midway by a conclusive 21-8. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Hope scored first but ultimately less than Marionville in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against the Comets, falling 10-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Comets: they've now lost three in a row.

Lincoln pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Pleasant Hope, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
