Soccer Game Preview: Hudson vs. Diboll

The Hudson Hornets will head out to face off against the Diboll Lumberjacks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hudson will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Westwood on Tuesday. Hudson never let Westwood onto the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won three games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Diboll entered their tilt with Crockett on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged the Bulldogs out 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Lumberjacks were the better team in the second half.

Hudson's win bumped their record up to 6-1-2. As for Diboll, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Hudson beat Diboll 3-1 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Does Hudson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Diboll turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
