Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pine Lake Prep walked away with it. They came out on top against the East Gaston Warriors by a score of 7-2 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Pride sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Dylan Brandt, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Alec Brown was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Pine Lake Prep's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for East Gaston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-11.

Looking ahead, Pine Lake Prep will square off against Burns on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Pride's hitters will have their work cut out for them. East Gaston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
