Basketball Recap: Hudson Ridge Skates Past Warrensburg with Ease

Hudson Ridge put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by the Warrensburg Burgers to the tune of 87-42. Fans of the Thunder Chicken have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Hudson Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Julius Brown led the charge by putting up 36 points. Brown's evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Calcagno, who posted 24 points.

Hudson Ridge's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.2 points per game. As for Warrensburg, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hudson Ridge will challenge Chatham at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Warrensburg, they will take on Hadley Luzerne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
