University has gone 8-1-1 against Portola recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The University Trojans will host the Portola Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

University will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Thursday, then bounced right back against Sage Hill on Tuesday. University skirted past Sage Hill 4-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Trojans' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Sage Hill with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Simon Hodgkinson (2), Joseph Bohman, and Masoon Malki.

Meanwhile, Portola narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past St. Margaret's 3-2.

University's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-1-1. As for Portola, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-1-1.

University was able to grind out a solid win over Portola in their previous matchup back in January, winning 3-1. Will University repeat their success, or does Portola have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
