Football Game Preview: Fallston Cougars vs. Edgewood Rams + Official Tickets

Fallston is 0-4 against Edgewood since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Cougars will look to defend their home field against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Fallston comes in on six and Edgewood on seven.

On Thursday, Fallston beat Joppatowne 35-22.

Michael Griffin had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 216 yards and four TDs while picking up 13.5 yards per carry, and also throwing for 100 yards on seven of 15 attempts. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 58 yards. Another player making a difference was Abi Archibong, who rushed for 137 yards and one score while picking up 8.6 yards per carry.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fallston was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 372 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 204 rushing yards in six consecutive games.

Fallston didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Trent Richter and Gage Hicks. Hicks is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Meanwhile, Edgewood got themselves on the board against C. Milton Wright on Thursday, but C. Milton Wright never followed suit. They blew past the Mustangs 29-0. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won five matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

Fallston's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Edgewood, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
