Basketball Recap: Eagle Heights Christian Takes a Loss

Eagle Heights Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 39-21 fall against the Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri Crusaders.

Leading Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri to victory were Kate Corley and Veronica Clark. Corley went 11 of 26 en route to 24 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals, while Clark posted four points along with 18 blocks and seven boards. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Corley has scored at least a third of Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophi Burkhart, who earned four points and four steals.

Eagle Heights Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

Eagle Heights Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri, they will square off against Frontier STEM at 5:00 p.m. on February 4th.
