Volleyball Recap: Goodridge/Grygla Comes Up Short

Goodridge/Grygla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Kittson Central/Lancaster Bearcats, falling 3-0. If the Chargers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bearcats when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Goodridge/Grygla was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 25-18.

Makayla Erlandson paced Goodridge/Grygla's offense, picking up six kills. Erlandson got some help from Brianna Severts and her nine assists. Severts was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Goodridge/Grygla's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Kittson Central/Lancaster, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Goodridge/Grygla didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] on the 6th. As for Kittson Central/Lancaster, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Barnesville on the 4th.
