Recap: West Springfield Terriers vs. Central Golden Eagles
The West Springfield Terriers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Central, falling 73-27. West Springfield was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-15.
Angalece Quinones was her usual excellent self, going 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 5 assists for Central. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Quinones has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jai-lyn Garvin-martin, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
West Springfield's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-3. As for Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Springfield will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Northampton at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd. As for Central, they will square off against Longmeadow at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
